Dock Details: Due to the extremely high water levels on Goshorn Lake the Board is requesting that everyone stay off the dock until further notice. Head out of the association, and make a RIGHT onto Blue Star Highway heading towards Douglas. Make a RIGHT at the stoplight onto Center Street. Saugatuck is my favorite place in the world and this cabin is my favorite place in Saugatuck! I'll fill you in on the (boring) list of amenities soon enough but first, indulge me. Let me gush about my favorite Kingfisher things. 1. The fireflies - glow worms - lightning bugs. Call them what you will. After dark, turn off all the lights, sit out on the back porch and watch hundreds in their sparkling dance. It's magic. 2. The wildflowers. Take a walk on the boardwalk to the Goshorn Lake dock. Stop and smell. Then take a few more steps. Stop and smell again...... Stop-smell-repeat, stop-smell-repeat. 3. Build a fire in the common area. Make s'mores - of course. 4. Sleep like a baby. For reasons that escape me (and most of my fellow owners) these cabins lull you to sleep. Maybe it's the quiet, the lack of street lights, the wood and fresh air. Whatever. It's wonderful. Okay.
